Obama’s world is a fantasy world in which he believes his own boasts and his own press clipping. It is a world in which, because of his simply sleeping in the White House, the world is a better place, the oceans stopped rising, and everything he destroys is Bush’s fault.
NorDog, you have a very good point there.
I’ve long said that Obama seems to have the rock-solid belief that his own words are magic. Whatever he says, he seems convinced that just by the power of him saying it, it will come true. I’m not sure where he picked up this delusion, but he sure seems to have it.
Thus, when he says “if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor,” he honestly and truly believes that it will somehow, magically, happen. When the cold hard reality that it didn’t happen slapped him in the face, of course it couldn’t have been his fault, so he had to blame someone else.
If you look, you can see this pattern throughout his Presidency. He clearly believes that if he says it, it will miraculously happen.
