I’m not an Iowan (my parents were, but I was born in California), but most of what I’ve heard from and about Joni, I like.
However, I’m a bit troubled that she’s accepting the canard that the GOP is the “Party of NO.” That’s a lie that’s been spread by the leftistmedia, and should be fought every time it’s brought up.
For example, consider Obamacare. The Democrats and leftists (but I repeat myself) like to claim the GOP has no plan for what to replace Obamacare with if they’re successful in repealing it. This is a lie for two reasons:
- Conservatives should be all for getting government out of healthcare and health insurance to the greatest degree possible, not for replacing Obamacare with Boehnercare which is Obamacare with an elephant instead of a donkey on the logo.
- With that said, there have been several plans unveiled by the GOP, as has been pointed out by Forbes and Business Insider. The Forbes article is well worth a read, as it also points out which Democrats have been spreading this vile and vicious lie.
So, I don’t like that Joni is accepting the leftist lie that the GOP is the party of NO. In point of fact, it seems the Democrats are the party of NO:
- Tax cuts? NO.
- Secure our border? NO.
- Rein in corruption in government? NO.
- Reduce the crushing weight of regulations on employers? NO.
I could go on and on, but you get the idea.
