My colleague, Conservative Wanderer, put an excellent post up with this title two days back regarding the facts of the case, and the Congressional testimony by Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Brett McGurk. I haven’t anything to add to CW’s post, he was spot on about it, but I did want to offer a link to this piece by Mark Thiessen in WaPo, for those of you who may not have seen it. Thiessen argues the data CW put up about the administration having been well informed far in advance of events can be coupled with the now-revealed refusal of the President to send in the drones at Iraqi request, and thereby suggests the President had the capability to stop ISIS cold– and chose not to do it.
