RE: Boehner: Impeachment Talk a “Scam”

Just to expand a bit on CW’s piece this morning, most of Big Media is up with stories about the Democrats furiously fundraising and trying to drive midterm turnout with their imaginary impeachment scare. Politico, for example, has three pieces up on the homepage: one on Democrat tactics, one on Harry Reid practicing for the Bloviation Olympics and one of the WH refusing to tell their partisans to quit lying to the American People. None of this is any surprise, really: desperate people do desperate things, and the Democrats are desperate. My comment, on one of the Politico pieces earlier today was:

Let me start off by saying I view the impeachment of the President as slightly less likely than the failure of sunrise to appear tomorrow. So far, anyway; it’s not impossible Democrats may decide to impeach him if they lose badly enough in November. But right now, no. It’s just a tempest in a teapot to drive D turnout in the midterms, nobody in leadership is seriously considering it.

Having said all that, one of the funniest things about the possibility is what it would do to Hillary in ’16 🙂

And that’s about the name of that tune. Boehner, and of course our own Conservative Wanderer, are perfectly correct. It’s a scam. But then, did we really have to ask? They’re Democrats.
